Ways to Improve Sexual Performance

Every man wants to perform better in the bedroom.  And there are hundreds of over-the-counter remedies that claim to improve performance.  Having tried many of them and recording the results, I found that most of them are just snake oil.  Rather than going straight for the pills, there are several things you can try that can have a huge impact on your sex life. Here are some easy ways to improve sexual performance.

Exercise and Don’t Forget Your Cardio

Do plenty of cardio.  Since the penis works on blood flow, staying active and physically fit can have a huge impact on sexual performance.  In addition to maintaining a strong cardiovascular system, staying in shape can also improve your endurance.  I know this can be difficult, and I’m not suggesting you should cram yourself into a gym for 5 hours a day.  Going for a light jog or swim a few times a week can make a huge difference in the bedroom.  Since staying fit usually has a unique set of dietary requirements, be sure to watch what you eat too.  The human body is a machine.  And as with any machine, if you put garbage into it, you’ll probably get garbage output.

Know Your Partner’s Needs

This is a vastly overlooked way to improve sexual performance. Sex is a team effort.  There is a lot more to it than just having a gigantic dick or lasting two hours.  If your partner doesn’t enjoy the experiences, then contrary to what you may think, you are performing poorly.  Take time to talk about what your partner likes and dislikes. Pay attention and be open about trying new things.  After a while, you’ll have a whole bag full of tricks to make things better.  Don’t skimp on the foreplay.  The more turned on your partner is, the less work you will have to do in the end game.

Practice

Believe it or not, masturbation can help with sexual performance.  Particularly, it can help you identify when you are going to ejaculate and ways to prevent it from happening too soon.  You can also practice cutting off your orgasm by exercising the same muscles you would use to cut off the flow of urine when going to the bathroom.  Those same muscles can be flexed to stop an orgasm from happening.  Once you figure out how to control those muscles, you can exercise them daily.  Then practice using them to actually stop an orgasm while you masturbate.

Use Lubricants

There are many lubricants available that can increase your performance.  They can also make the experience more enjoyable for both partners.  With such a huge number of sexual lubricants available, try several and find one you both like.  Personally, I like the versatility of a good water-based lubricant since it can be used for things like backrubs without making a huge mess.  Flavored lubes can make oral sex more pleasant.  Warming or cooling lubes can make things more intense.  They even have numbing lubes that work to extend how long you will last.  They can also be used to make anal sex less painful.  Try a few and find one you both like. 

Try to Relax

The more relaxed you are, the better your blood flow will be.  This is best demonstrated using morning wood as an example.  When you sleep your body relaxes which allows more blood to flow into the penis.  If you struggle to relax, try taking a short party nap prior to having sex.  Avoid using alcohol or other depressants.  While they may make you feel like you’re relaxed, they can have an opposite effect on your cardiovascular system, which will make it harder to get and maintain an erection.  Try putting on some relaxing music or going for a short walk.  If you live a particularly stressful life, learn how to meditate or take up yoga. 

There are many other different ways to improve performance, but the five listed are the easiest to implement.  Consider this list a base line for anyone who needs a little boost.  If you’ve been struggling to perform sexually for a while, it never hurts to get the advice of a medical professional.  There are a lot of medical conditions that can cause poor performance that can only be treated clinically.  If your concerned about your sexual health or performance in the bedroom, talk to your doctor.  They might have a solution that’s just right for you.
